Bright strawberry; much more tertiary on the nose than on the palate, with a pleasant line of acidity. Very enjoyable, if a bit boring.

3rd wine of dinner. Was looking forward to this as first Boillot premiere cru I’ve tried and I really like their Bourgogne. Ended up disappointed. Never really opened up (open 2 hours early but not decanted). Red fruit but somewhat dull with a slight bitter note. Just seemed tight. Hold or decant for few hours imho.

Appearance: Bright and clear, the wine is of light ruby colour, with fading rims and legs. Nose: Clean, with medium intensity aromas of red fruit of strawberries and dark cherries, floral notes of violet, sweet spice of cloves, oak notes of bark, herbal notes of black tea, maturity notes of savoury. Palate: Dry with medium acidity, the wine has medium tannin of ripe and silky texture, medium alcohol, medium body, with medium (+) flavours of red fruit of strawberry and …

Not very aromatic. Bitterness in the end. Plenty of red fruits. Body not as round.

Rather generic and sappy without much depth upon opening. Got better with air. More of a red fruit profile, floral nose. Quite light and ethereal with a sappy plush quality on the palate, solid length but without the depth one might expect from 1er.

I agreed with the comment of easy to drink, probably for most of the 2017 vintage burgundy red. I opened to serve in one hour and it brought us shiny red fruits aroma, jammy fruit taste, and medium body wine.

The wine is young and needs lots of air. As others have noted the nose is very floral, with lots of red fruit, spice, bark, stems etc. The wine is racy, subtle, elegant and fine and needs a number of years (at least five) to enter its actual drinking window.

1 hour of air in bottle Quite racy with nice floral and herbal tones, velvety nose with some plush dark red fruit. Great verve and zip, young but enjoyable. After a couple of hours, its pretty and vivacious with spunky acidity and minerals. I like it a lot

[Restaurant purchase] on the young side, but lovely already

Quite concentrated and fleshy at first blush, there is a really pleasant hickory-ish aroma from well integrated oak. The fruit quality is cherry kirsch/coulis, dense and sappy. The wine stays energetic with a nice spine of acidity, an attractively velvety texture with a bit of tannic grip and spice on the finish. Obviously, there's a lot of room for development here to shed the baby fat of the fruit but it's drinking very well now.

Black raspberry, red and black cherry, cranberry, pomegranate juice, sorbet, citrus rind, and subtle bark elements. Excellent purity and balance. Finishes youthfully linear, but with wonderful promise as the black cherry circles back. Really nice focus and directed energy here. A bit more juvenile than the 2016 (understandably so), with less of the earth element showing in its current state. Just flashy enough with the fruit now that it is drinkable today, but will certainly benefit from from short term …
