Sweet and round, opulent fruit and yeast. Bruised apple, lemon, baking bread. Delicious and approachable.

Very nice, terrific value

Disgorged 06/07/2023. Fresh and lively, but with the depth of Pinot noir. Would repurchase… if I could find it.

Medium weight. Shows richness from time on lees. A pleasant champers.

Another great bottle from this producer. The style is quite vinous and Pinot Noir-dominant. Flavors of ripe red apples dominate, but there is very restrained yeast autolydis character. A refined mousse gives this a very refined nature.

One of favourite NV. Fine bubbles. Light style with a hint of orange. Good value

Very nice but clearly in the value category of Champagne. All the hallmark tasting notes are there, but they don’t add up to anything too remarkable. At the price, however, how could you not?

scattered bubble stream. gold, straw, in color. yellow apple, peach, pear, lemon, cherry, honey, toast, yeast, chalk, mineral. firm mousse, juicy, citrus pith, yeast, on the finish.

First Wednesday Wine Club (Napoli in Bocca, Haberfield) : Medium minus intensity aromas of biscuit, lemon, a little apple, slight cherry. In the mouth yeast autolysis, textured grip is chalky, mousse is softly engaging, the fruit plays second fiddle, alcohol lends a little white pepper. Interersting.

Lemon and yellow apple with a light yeasty note, a fine bubble, and strong acidity.
Taster #2393 · Apr 21, 2021
Piercingly acidic, bone-dry style of Champagne. I preferred it to the XIXe cuvee on account of the greater freshness but this is still dinging way too far into the red zone of austerity for my tastes.

NM 387.001. Open for 2h. Yeasty, brioche aromas with rich, ripe apples, and a bit of minerals. Palate with ripe apples, brioche and minerals. Somewhat short finish. Nice texture. Med-full body. Good acids. Nice bubbles and effervescence. Nice, tasty, easy going champagne that works nicely as an apertif.

Green apple with notes of lemon citrus, peach, and something yeasty, with a fine bubble and strong acidity. This is a very good value at about $35.

Our first bottle of the most recent release, consumed tonight with a Christmas dinner of smoked ham. A tad softer than earlier editions, but with the trademark vinousness and lack of autolytic toastiness. Very nice as an aperitif, yet also food friendly.

My house Champers...a tad too sweet on the finish. Otherwise, all the requisite parts are in order.

Another fantastic bottle of this. Stylistically, it resembles Vilmart and definitely hits our sweet spot for bubbly.

My house sparkler, love it, albeit it a bit generous and straightforward. Always pleases, everyone loves it.

Again, this producer crafts a wine that comes close to our Platonic ideal of NV Champers. It's got some density yet maintains crisp acidity and a delicate mousse. It makes a fine match with the various hors d'oeuvres.

Tasty "house Champagne", great value at $30 USD. I buy a case a year. Chalky, apples, pear, some sweetness from the dosage. Drink over the next few years.

Well put together wine but without the freshness I recall. Rich, fruit forward and sexy as always.

Grower-Producer Champagne and Sparkling Wines from Terry Theise and WineWise (Ame Restaurant, San Francisco, California) : Light yellow color with tiny bubbles; pear, poached pear nose; pear, poached pear, baked apple, caramel palate; medium-plus finish
Taster #9661 · Jan 23, 2012
Peristent bead of fine bubbles with aromas of orchard fruit, toast, citrus and minerals. Definitely seemed to be Pinot dominated with a richness and slight roundness to it but with good balancing acidity. Nothing exceptional, but well made and quite enjoyable.

2011 Terry Theise Grower-Producer Champagne and Sparkling Wine Tasting (Ame Restaurant, San Francisco, California) : Very light yellow color with few tiny bubbles; baked pear, lightly yeasty nose; baked pear, lightly yeasty palate; medium-plus finish 88+ points

Rich and intense, this Champagne veers towards power over elegance. A relatively large and slow bead dissolves quickly. Generously flavored, with yellow apple, pear, caramel, and toast flavors that coat the mouth and go down easy. Soft, round, and broad, this could be mistaken for a high quality new world sparkler.
