Pale red with orange tint. Dark cherry, wood and alcoholic. No taste of raisin, thin and coarse texture. Ordered it at an Italian restaurant in Vancouver for CAD90 a bottle. I felt it was worth CAD15 max. Worst Amarone I have ever tasted because it didn't taste anything like an Amarone.

A complex bouquet. Nice vegetable notes complemented with cherries, toasted cumin, star anise and cocoa on the nose and palate. Medium to full bodied structure, supple and good density. Stylistically this focused more on herbaceous components than fruit sweetness. Good transition to a spicy and smooth finish. At its peak now. Will keep well for the next 5-8 years.

Roasty spices on the nose, spices, LIghtish body, refreshing, almond, cherry, cherry pit, Crunchy fresh style, ageing really well. Simple and really delicious. Don't really understand the bad reviews here unless people were expecting something more upmarket because it says 'ripasso' on the label.

This was on sale and now I see why. Shallow and bland with virtually no nose. Neither forward nor full, with just a little spice on the finish. My wife and I both tried it, then gave the rest to our garbage disposal.
