Fattoria Viticcio Vin Santo Dolce Arianna

Honey nose. Apricot on attack. An off note akin to oxidation during middle distracts from experience. Good finish. Not overly sweet.

I wanted the Avignonesi Vin Santo, but couldn't find it anywhere! Paired this with chocolate gelato, and then a small closing serving of hard cheese and berries. The sweetness of the Vin Santo carried through these courses quite well, but this particular one just had no complexity to it. What you smelled and tasted didn't evolve in your mouth like other dessert wines I have had.
