(17/20) So my style, this rich and vibrant Chenin Blanc. Bit reductive, super energetic, lingering aftertaste. Medium+ intense aromas of apple blossom, chamomile, white grapefruit, tangerine, white peach, white pepper, wet stone, sea salt, biscuit, butterscotch, almond. Dry wine, high acidity, medium body, pronounced flavour intensity, long finish. 13% ABV - served @ Wijnrestaurant Pinot

Beautiful nose. Light and crisp. It has a sauvignon blanc nose but without the acidity. Might be a bit more time in the bottle but an easy drink.

A beautiful expression of Chenin blanc from this iconic old vine vineyard in Bot River. Tensile, chiseled citrus and tree fruits are framed by crushed stones and white flowers. Fabulous concentration with a clean, racy finish.

Fresh, pure apricot driven nose layered with honey, smoke and lemon peel. Medium bodied and expresssive on the palate with good acidity, a burst of ripe pear and dusting of spice. Long, toasty apricot finish. Delicious now but likely to improve. Riper than the 2021 but retains its elegance.

Pale lemon. Pronounced on the nose with apple blossom, apple, pear, white peach, lanolin, biscuit, cream, nutmeg, honey, and wet rock. Developing. Pronounced and dry on the palate. Medium plus body, medium alcohol, high acidity, long finish. Can drink now but has potential for ageing. Great intensity on the palate. Persistent finish. Well delineated orchard fruit. Refined, elegant. Lovely wine.

Terroir-istes Local - Blind Tasting of Chardonnay & Chenin Blanc (Cape Town - Las Cases) : (Tasted Blind) Pale gold in colour, the nose initially presented funky, leesy notes and bruised apple, before morphing into ripe tangerine and baked yellow fruits, accompanied by fynbos honey, sweet spice, and a hint of mineral. The entry is round with a rich texture and fresh rising acidity. Tangerine flesh, juicy apple pip, and baked apple dominate underpinned by a leesy richness, subtle hints …

Colourless; appley, clean as a whistle; lean, bracing, brisk acidity, neutral; chiselled & taut finish. I assume this will flll out with time.

Fermented in oak, no new oak this vintage. From Hope Vineyard and GG Vineyard. Medium plus nose shows white pear, dried spice, white flowers, wet rock. Palate shows hint of richness, but then crisp structure, finish is delightful, medium plus length of tangy citrus, orange peel, light spice, hint of phenolics in there. Terrific value.
