Had not had this vintage since 10/23 and it is truly heaven in a bottle! I as able to take it to a fantastic Italian restaurant in Dallas and it went so well with the food! Opened for 15-20 minutes and it had a wonderful mouth feel and tastes of cherry with some darker fruit on the back end. Seemed to be in a really great place right now and I look forward to getting this one whenever it’s offered …

A bit shy this evening. After a short decant and the meal, it never really opened up. Not much on the nose, really. As I’d expect from KB, the wine is balanced on the palate with medium acidity and medium tannins. Paired with sautéed chicken with a tarragon cream pan sauce, a vegetable risotto and garden salad. There is a long finish. I don’t know if California Pinots go through a dumb phase, but this one may be in it

WOW! Fantastic vintage from KB! Opened for 20-30 minutes before pouring and it was great from the get go! Loved the way it felt in the mouth and was oh so smooth! Opened up during the meal (pizza) and the second and third bottles were a total home run! Not a heavy Pinot - just nice red fruit with a hint of blackberry. Still plenty of time left in the bottle so I’ll save the next one for a year …

I have always loved this vineyard site. Years ago one of my favorite wines was Babcock's Mt. Carmel Pinot Noir. I grabbed this to see what this vintage offered at an early point in development. This was polished, with a dusty element. Powdered black berries. Great mouthfeel and texture. It opened up with some time in the bottle and started to display its full potential. I would give this a year or two more as I feel it will be …
