Maritana Pinot Noir Le Russe

Really perfumed and aromatic, this Russian River Valley Pinot Noir opens with a whiff of red fruits—juicy raspberries, strawberries, pomegranate, later progressing into mineral petrichor and barnyard funk components, some wet earth, and red dried flower petals. Some cherry cola gives this wine an extra layer of flavors. Silky medium tannins, medium(+) acidity create a very pleasant structure. Really juicy, fresh, and light Pinot, just a pleasure to drink.

This was outstanding. Always been a fan of Donald Patz’ work, I’m going to keep an eye out for more of his product.
