Quite dark ruby in the glass, with expressive nose of plums and oak. Bright acidity, medium tannins, lots of dark fruits but also tobacco leaves and clove. Ending is long with oak, licorice, lasting fruit. Air did it good - still young but already quite good. Hold 3-4 years.

Would pay much more than CA$52 for this impressive CNDP! Nez : prune broyée, baies rouges sucrées, épices et fines herbes, et soupçon de garrigue. Les tannins sont fins mais encore présents...umami. Fruité, rond, équilibré, avec des saveurs de fruits mûrs et de réglisse...sucre d'orge même. Long et très bon ! Boire d'ici 2025...mais délicieux maintenant !

Tasted after a three hour decant. Dark ruby in colour with lovely aromas of sweet/dried fruit, earthy, & slightly herbal/floral. On the palate, full bodied tart black fruit, blackberry/boysenberry/cassis, well integrated oak, herbaceous, spice/clove, earthy, high acidity, medium slightly angular tannins, & a long finish to intense black pepper & a chalky minerality. At this point, this wine is quite youthful & aggressive, but it is balanced & enjoyable to drink now. Cellar progression is no problem.

This wine always delights and is at a price point where I'm happy to share with my kids and other novices to wine. It's a beautiful expression of CdP from a stellar vintage and excellent winemaker. Pairs with so much, but perfectly delicious without food.

Dark ruby. Nose of black cherry cola, blackberry, and spicy mesquite. So good, you just want to keep your nose in the glass. Rich and ripe black fruit with well integrated tannins. Fantastic wine. The nose is completely on point, but the mourvedre will likely soften even more with time.

Last two bottles opened with friends for a Sunday roast. Wine is deep ruby, black fruit , plum, French herbs, wood and smoke. Medium plus finish. Really good CNDP.

Flavours are pronounced with spice, red plum and red cherry with secondary flavours of tobacco and wood smoke. Finish is medium. This wine is good, it is well balanced, with complex intense flavours, but lacks a long finish.

Decanted 1 hour. Upon decanting presented full aromatic nose of cedar & soft wood. Full rich ruby color w/strong legs. Flavor of fig, heavy plums & light lead pencil. Nose opened to heavy fruits from appetizer to entrée. Full round finish. Very nice with Blue Cheese & Pear appetizer & Lobster Mornay entrée.

Wonderful CNDP. Fig, spice, Provençal herbs with black fruit in the background. Wonderfully light and fresh given the 15.5* abv. Drinking really well now but sure to have some years left in it.

I've never seen such consensus. Everyone, including Spectator, rates it 93. Okay, me too. Super wine for the money. Excellent depth and complexity. Very enjoyable now, but it'll be even better in 8 years if you like your CdP with secondary development. Winner.

Unlike my view regarding this placeless vintage in Bordeaux, the Rhone wines Rock!...pun intended. A complete, balanced, and rounded wine. It hits all the right notes for CdP...and then a few extras. Fruit, herbs, tobacco, meatiness, umami, smoke, and minerality throughout. Very much appreciated the in-check alcohol. A young wine, that will likely improve over the next few years. High QPR! 93-94.

I really like this wine. It's got some old world complexity but is approachable and enjoyable. Straight forward nose of red fruits and some garrigue which is echoed on the palate. There aren't many tannins but there is enough acidity to pair with outdoor meals. We had this one with grilled halibut and brown rice and the wine felt like another component of the meal, didn't fight and didn't get buried. I think indoors with a more sophisticated meal this …

Well worth buying, especially at this price point. Well balanced. Black raspberry, herbs, and a spicy finish. Just a touch of heat on the finish from the 15.5% alcohol. Quite delicious. Drinking well now with a decent decant but I'm sure this will evolve nicely over the years. Complemented a cast iron seared duck breast well.

Beauty and purity. Baked raspberry, rhubarb pie, hot stone, nori and dried plum. Savory, with a rich middle palate. Long, and ripe, yet remains subtle at the same time. Still primal, I would wait at least two years and scope for many. Grainy tannins. Drink 2023 - 2035.
