Really wanted to like this one more, but the underling bite of underripe Sangiovese kept rising to the surface, delivering an almost metallic aftertaste, and a disconcerting lack of integration. Too bad, but really wasn't crazy about the bottle.

Great nose with dried cherry and savory tertiary notes. Medium plus weight, moderate tannin. Fairly strong oak character on the mid-palate, but also well-integrated and finessed. Pleasing finish. 90% Sangiovese, 5% CS, 5% CF.

A ton of fruit on the nose. Lots of juiciness and spice notes. Grippy finish. Paired nicely with my stuffed pepper recipe.
