Intense red currant, slight brick color, with steak and grilled sweet potatoes. Very fine. If only all Nortons were aged this long.

I surprisingly enjoyed this wine. It was slightly corked, but bright acidity (even after 16 years) highlighted streaks of red fruit and an almost Cab Franc-like green note. Tannin intervened a little bit, but age had rounded it out and it seemed well integrated. Rating is low for CT, but honest. Don't let it stop you from trying this American classic of a wine. It's a bottle of history.

Drank as part of a 2000-2009 vertical. Dark plum color. Still with bramble fruits on the nose. Smooth with nice long finish. This is holding up much longer than expected.

Has aged nicely. Smooth yet robust peppery, chocolate notes of Norton with a lingering finish. Stone Hill stands aart from other Missouri winemakers when it comes to Norton.

Age does make a difference in Norton. Excellent compliment to spagetti
