A toasted and spicy nose. Ripe plums, star anise, earth and leather on the palate. Good balance between concentration and acidity. Full-bodied. Polished edge and transition to a deep and lingering finish. Ready to now with an hour of decanting.

Quite nice. Plenty of up front oak which blows off after a decent decant and let’s the fruit out. I don’t think it will improve any. Drink up.

Like a big, warm hug, and very drinkable- not overly hot and definitely not jammy. Big fruitcake character with kirsch, plum, dates... plus a nice helping of black licorice and other lightly herbal notes to balance out the soft, sweet fruit. Surprisingly not as nice day 2 though, got a little too much oxygen for some reason.

Perfume like aromatics with cooked cloves. Chocolate dominate flavors, cooked cherries with a definite herbal finish.

Dry grown fruit is intense and tannin-led. Inky with huge fruit and licorice, balanced with dark soft tannins. Needs a little time for the acidity to bring the whole into balance, but still very good

A very light style wine, not as syrupy as previous vintages, but very pleasant and smooth on the palate.

A youthful grenache but showing a lot of promise. Needs to go down for a few years to reach its potential, but promises to be great.

Bright and clear ruby red with purple edges. The nose has green peppercorns, dark fruits and fig. Medium to full bodied palate that get width the longer it goes. Crunchy tannins and good acid. Drinking fine now but will most certainly benefit from some time down.
