However lofty the name on the label, this is a pretty mediocre (at best) Pinot from the south of France, hardly a reputable bastion of Pinot production, simple and thin with an overriding barnyard / manure note suppressing cherry, raspberry, and vague earthiness. Light, good wine for girl friends

Nice light wine with some fruit notes, light colored, easy drinking. No heavy alcohol or tannins, under $20 CDN. I bit sharp initial note.

A strong PN from France. Not my favorite, not much fruit, mainly alcohol forward. Could be better.

Great pinot noir for the price. I bought a few bottles of this last year because it was so drinkable. I think my remaining 07 bottles will be good drinking for another year at least. A strong fizzy initial taste which then goes into an empty after taste. Can't assign a point rating as I am new to wine and have very little idea on what is "good". Would not buy again.

Inoffensive but decent generic red wine. No pinot character at all. About what I expected, but I admit to being fooled by the Baron's name on the label.

For $7, I didn't expect anything exotic and it wasn't. A nice fruity nose with a simple, but enjoyable taste. Not as good as the 2005 I had a few years ago.

Excellent cheap Pino . Worked well with Choho Salmon and wild mushrooms.
