Our favorite wine. No more available. So smooth and rich. I’ve had lots of Napa Cabs and Think this the best I’ve had.

30 min decant but gets better and better. Aromas of dusty cherry, roasted cacao, tobacco and light earth. Flavors of dark cherry, dark plums, black peppercorns, cloves, allspice berries, some dark cocoa, pencil shavings and damp earth. Tannins hanging on by a thread. Medium bodied, bordeaux style. Delicious and has a few years left.

Really nice wine. Not sure what it was like when it was younger but it sure is tasty now. Drink or hold another year or two.

Opened two 750ML bottles. Bordeaux style. 30min decant. Great nose right out of the gate. Both wines are in the perfect drinking window. Medium-full body, long but elegant finish. Highly recommended

Great bottle...small amount of Brett upon opening...burned off with decant. Notes of tobacco and black berry. No tannins with taste of a Bordeaux.

Very pretty nose of cherries, florals, and tobacco with a hint of leather. The mushroom earthy nose dissipated quickly after opening. The palate was well balanced with fine tannins that still had quite a bit of structure to hold up to any meaty dish but still very pretty alone. I felt that it still had plenty of life still left and would not be in any hurry to drink up

Very nice wine. The power is fading, but graciously.

Best showing to date! It had everything I've mentioned in my previous notes, but this bottle had a little extra perfume. I'd love to see this in a blind lineup with 20 year old BDX, I'm convinced it would beat out many contenders and not be marked CA.

PNP. Still a heavy wine and needs about 30 mins decant time. I just love this wine and anyone who loves aged BDX and big CA cabs, will likely love it too! The perfume alone will turn heads.

Tannins are smooth. Tastes of fruit, leather and sweet tobacco. At this age it doesn’t seem to need decanting.

Just lovely! Another sound bottle. The fruit is still alive, but very old world style, lots of earthy tones, tobacco, cedar, but still very sweet and even throughout the palate. The perfume on the nose is what makes this wine so special.

Nose: tobacco and cherries Taste: light tannins, very smooth oak, anise, tobacco, and cherries. Way better than I thought it would be. Decanted for 2 hours which probably helped.

Bordeaux character with a little cali fruit, sweet cigar tobacco, dark fruit, fresh leather, dust and a bit of cedar. Nose is rocking right now. Palate is dark fruit, tar, tobacco, tannin still fairly grippy but more resolved than bottle 2 years back, good acid, great balance, lengthy finish. This wine is an awesome spot right now and will likely remain here for quite some time with maybe slight improvement as the tannin fades. Overall very good bottle and exactly …

Primary characteristics are starting to fade, but still the acidity gives it plenty of freshness to keep going. Not as spectacular as the bottle we had 5 years ago, but still fantastic. One more left.

Favorite wine/vintage combo. Just out of control depth, flavor, deep blue free, and velvety smooth tannins.

Absolutely fabulous. Still a big, lush Bordeaux blend. Don't have specific tasting notes, but I shared it with friends, and it was the hit of the evening. Still some aging potential left.
