Château La Sauvageonne (Gérard Bertrand) Terrasses du Larzac Grand Vin

Needed over an hour for the fruit to gain some weight. Ripe black and red fruit with only the faintest touch of candied strawberries. The fruits were not heavy and thick; rather, they were more light an elegant like an older CDP. Touch of dried herbs and Oak. Very smooth. A quality wine with a couple more years of quality drinking to go (perhaps longer).

Really nice SGMc and great QPR at $28. Notes of cherry cassis pepper truffle clove and petricore. Alcohol surprisingly well integrated at this age and 15.5%. On palate cassis cherry plum black cherry oak rosemary hints of chocolate and earth. High tannins and medium high acidity. Definitely benefits from couple hour decant. Will have to tuck a few bottles away as this one should age well.
