Dusted Valley, Malbec, Walla Walla Valley

Jammy fruit and deep fruit flavors, like I would expect from a Malbec. This is like a Strawberry/raspberry/blackberry/cherry jam with prunes, tobacco, leather, licorice, cocoa powder, wet rocks, and fairly strong spicy heat—like cayenne—on the finish. The 14.7% alcohol is present, but not overwhelming. Probably would have been better with more time. It needed some air to open up, though it was better on day 1. A decent Malbec at an OK price. I enjoy DV wines and this is a fulfilling Malbec but not sure I would order more. A dark purple almost black in the center. A mild nose of black cherry, plum and hints of chocolate. A medium bodied wine with soft tannin and black cherry with hints of leather and cola surprisingly. A relatively short finish.

This is a very nice Malbec, with a blackberry nose. On the pallet you have flavors of raspberry and spice with a long spicy finish. Nice tannins, sorry we don't have more of this.
