dark garnet, mushroom, humus, overripe plum, smoky, clove, cauliflower, definitely not a wine to pair with pork or chicken (nor veal)-( i had spicy meatballs), drink now

I drank the win a few years ago and I was very dissappointed, now what a change, aroma'a of spice and fred fruit, well balanced with still a little bit acid even in this bottle of 2006, soft tannines. Th e wine perssited good, it was a veyr nice evening.

This is the fourth bottle of this wine I tasted and everyone gave me the same good impression. It is a surprisingly good wine and for the price I paid ($15/ bottle when purchasing a case) I could not ask for more. A wonderful Grenache, with light berries, complex flavors, little earth or truffle.

Ruby colored. Interesting nose of red berries and earth with something that started as sweetness, but quicky became quite alcoholic with time. Quite a bit of heat on the backend of the palate, which just ruined this wine for me. Used the remaining bit of the bottle for cooking.

Still on the young side, but plenty of potential. Big, dark berry fruit, almost Zinfandel in character with hints of licorice and very slight organic vegetal elements. Finish has some acidity and heat that I expect will mellow with age.
