2 years later and it keeps on keeping on. Gorgeous color, bouquet, fruit, acidity, and balance.

Big and delicious, morlet style

This seemed that it was on the cusp of being decent but it just fell flat. As it got more air it seemed to tease a bit but still just not quite fully “there.” Essentially this seemed to show its alcohol a bit much, not exactly have the acid balance I tend to want with something showing a bit of reduction. Overall I see what they were try to do, but it just seems they fell a bit short.

Medium Gold Nose: Butterscotch, white flower, crushed rock. Mouth: Round, juicy quince, ripe golden apple, yellow pear are given a boozy kick as flavors of triple sec, candied lemon, orange blossom, and hint of nutmeg ride a light spine of acid. Finish is crushed oyster shell and light spice notes as the fruit returns again and again. Overall: Powerful and resinous, this has excellent sculpted shape to it, with a silken mouthfeel that carries all the way to the final …
