Too sweet for me. Far from unpleasant though.

By the glass over dinner at Wine Connection. Appearance is clear, deep intensity, ruby colour. Legs. Screw-cap. Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of black cherries, boysenberries, licorice. Youthful. On the palate, dry, medium acidity, high alcohol (14.5%), smooth medium+ tannins, full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of black cherries, boysenberries, sweet licorice some peppery spice. Medium+ finish. Reasonably good quality Grenache. Not overly ripe. Just right though nothing special. For early drinking.
