A bit more interesting than the previous bottle...Translucent, Medium ruby color. Nose has rose petals, petrol, earthy autumn leaves, cherry, vanilla/oak and a touch of fleeting alcohol. On the palate I get earthy cherry, tar, roses and bright acidity. Moderately long finish that emphasizes the earthy cherry. This should evolve favorable for 5 years or more.

Medium ruby color with a hint of pink on the edge. More complex nose then the sister vineyard, La Cruz, with vanilla, Cherry and a touch of leather. This has a much more interesting and complex flavor profile as well With the cherry, strawberry, vanilla and some earth. Fairly short finish.

Soft nose of ripe cherry and clove. Elegant mouthfeel and light-weight but powerful body. Sweet and ripe red fruit palate with a nice touch of cola and clove. Good acidity and soft tannins support the palate. Finishes long with some tannin and spice.

The Suacci is my favorite from Ryan and this one did not disapoint. The prior note is spot on. This has really developed over the last year. It's light red color really delivers starting with cherry that was a touch sour then it folds in lively spice, nice acidity and great forest floor notes. It's very true to the site and it really is in a perfect spot if you have any. Excellent !

This is just a fantastic bottle of pinot. Have by now enjoyed two bottles each of the '08 and '09, and the former is the decisive winner for my palate, if nobody else's. I love the balance: there's an uncommonly energetic troika of cherry-pit bitterness, acidity, and lively spice which, to me, kind of has the upper hand over the deep dark-cherry and raspberry fruit. Fold in some tannins and minerals and we have something which transcends so many good …

Very solid pinot effort. Good clarity, acidity and nice cherry fruits. In good balance! One of the better cali pinots we have had recently. Will likely get a bit better, but very nice now

Medium ruby color. Definite strawberry and raspberry notes on the nose along with some slightly earthy undertones. Spicy strawberry pie flavors on the palate with a little bit of black cherry mixed in. Medium acid, medium- tannins, silky smooth mouthfeel and finish. This was definitely on the more restrained side of Cali pinot and I enjoyed it quite a bit. Sad I only bought 1 bottle at the sale price.

Full bodied Cali PN. Definitely on the riper side of the spectrum- one of the bigger wines I've had from this producer. There is enough acidity however to keep this from being over the top. Cherry cola flavors. Good, but more of an aperitif wine.

I'm with Josh Raynolds all the way: a *very* appealing spiciness, terrific perfumed nose including rose / potpourri notes; excellent balance, the spice on the palate in conjunction with the cherry, a little cola, and just-right acidity. Excellent with food: a lively but not overpowering partner, with Egyptian dips, sausages, and even not bad with a shrimp course.

Comes on strong with classic California Pinot Noir characteristics. Strawberries and pipe tobacco with a silky finish. Length is a little short however.
