Color: Clear, medium, straw yellow. Aroma: A moderate level of vanilla ice cream and caramel with slight tree fruit (apple/pear). This is a dry wine with moderate acidity. The oak smooths out the acidity. There is not much actual fruit. This a a full-bodied, well balanced wine.

Buttery with a sweet, somewhat strange taste.

Strong Oak. But even stronger melon and fruit brightness. Would be great with a fruity chicken dish like margarita chicken or perhaps cranberries over Turkey for thanksgiving. Not much butter.. More bright than butter or oak. Oakey finish though after the strong brightness. The brightness tones down with heat and oxygen. Probably better breathing a day or two. (Will try to update).

I was in the mood for a chardonnay but nothing too fancy. I went with the St Francis because I like their zin, but the chard is of near-kabinett sweetness. Does anything else need to be said? A real disgrace, people.

Light golden color with an inviting nose of pear and green apples. Medium bodied with a touch of acidity adding some pucker on the first taste. Some baking spice on the palate as it approaches room temperature. Avoids the funky feral aromas I sometimes get in CA Chard. Nice wine. Sample for review.
