Pale straw color with fresh and dried orchard fruits, beeswax, lemon zest, dried hay, and herbal tea aromas. On the palate, it’s medium bodied and very fresh with an appealing waxy texture with fresh white peach, dried apricot, honey herbal tea, lemon zest flavors with a dry, savory and persistent finish. 13.5% abv From BWC “This Semillon comes from dry farmed vines planted in 1886 in iron rich soils of the famed Monte Rosso Vineyard”

Pale straw color in the glass with a watery rim. Fresh lemon, lemon zest, and white flowers on the nose. Light-medium bodied with medium acidity and flavors of tart green apple, lemon pith, and lemon pledge. Medium-length aftertaste of lanolin. I appreciate the gift from my CT Secret Santa. It is not something I would have tried otherwise. Paired with lemon pepper shrimp and lobster ravioli. Unfortunately, it was outshone by a Spanish Alberinio. Well-made, but not my jam. Drink …

Very nice. Tart, brightly fruited, lightly herbal and very easy to drink. At the price I'm not sure I'm reaching for these over a Tyrrell's or another Hunter Valley Semillon, but very good.

This was a stunningly beautiful wine. Rich lemon zest and floral aromatics with balancing acidity. I could see this adding weight and gaining complexity with age, but fantastic now. Paired with miso Chilean sea bass beautifully. Thank you, markandsusanw for the generous CTSS gift!

This is the first Semillon from Bedrock I've tasted and it is hard to describe. It is loaded with lively acidity and is quite pure. I am at a loss for words to describe its unique flavor profile. I think it's a bit like drinking a pear that has no sweetness and a heavy dose of acidity. Otherwise, it is exemplary Bedrock purity and style.

golden yellow. On the nose, rubber, lime, citrus, pineapple, and a slightly sweet note. On the palate, medium + acid keeps a slightly hot start in line. finish is linear and cleansing with a touch of sweetness. Very nice wine and expression at the price

Dark color for a Riesling of this age - golden yellow. Nose is rubber, lime, spritzy-fresh, unripe pineapple, spiced pear, some pine, a little smooth-sweet character like light brown sugar. Palate is soft on entry, a little hot and bitter in the middle, but builds to a medium-high-acid, juuuust slightly off-dry, moreish finish, savory at the end. A nice domestic expression of Riesling. In an affordable category it’s not a stellar QPR, but was very nice tonight with Vietnamese food. …

Bigger than I expected, but still pleasurable. Tropical fruits on the nose and palate. Paired well with grouper and asian spices. I would buy again for comparison to German, WA and Austrian versions. Not sure the QPR is a multi bottle buy.

Very pale golden slate. Nose petrol, golden honey. Palate juicy stone fruit, bone dry, a grassy bitterness on the finish. A bit disjointed to my taste, not quite the finesse of the best German or Austrian dry rieslings. 86 pts

Good quality for the price, and year-in year-out, one of the better examples of New World Riesling out there. Lovely nose of pineapple and lemon curd. Quite dry, but not quite austere. To me, most similar to the style of Austrian rieslings from Kremstal. Will be interesting to see how this ages.

Nice. A bit sharp at this young age. Shows its good pedigree. Not sweet at all. A good fit for Chinese dishes with citrus flavors.

Bedrock does well with the Gewürz/Riesling Compagni Portis vineyard and this Wirz Vineyard Riesling is also a pleasant rendition. Lean and citrus-y at first, it developed nicely over 45 minutes, with weight and texture akin to an Alsace Riesling, albeit with more fruity aromatics and less acidity.

Typical Riesling nose of petrol and peaches, with lively citrus aromas. This is high octane at 13.5%, and the heat is evident on the palate with ripe citrus and tropical fruit flavors. A little out of balance, as acid is moderate at best. Good, but not exceptional.

Not sure if I would repurchase ... so many other dry Rieslings from Germany, Australia or Washington that are better for less money. Lacks fruit and character.

This is a very light wine, with a bit of spritz. There are hints of grapefruit, guava, passionfruit. But, there is no substance. No "there" there. As a long-time customer of Bedrock, I'm very disappointed. I have had several bottles of this wine (I bought 6) and other of their whites, but none have really impressed me. I think Bedrock should stick with what they know best (excellent reds) and skip the whites and roses. I suppose if you want …

Citrus peel and wet stone on the nose. There’s subtle citrus and petrol flavors, with nice acidity. This is a great food wine, but the finish is short and it lacks depth. It is better than many Rieslings at this price point, but not quite up to what I expect from Bedrock.

WIML90 Tasted double blind. Light yellow color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of gooseberries, grass and apricot. Flavors of lime and grapefruit. Medium acidity, medium body. Drink now. My guess was New World, Sauvignon Blanc, USA, Napa. 2/4.

Sweet spiced oatmeal with sweet apple and sea air on the nose. Explodes in the mouth with sweet apple, lemon, lime and wet gravel with hints of burning gunpowder and dish soap. Great acid with a long tart spiced apple finish. Tasted with 12 old world dry Rieslings and didn't seem out of place, in fact it was one of the stars.

Bright aromas of fuji apple, lime, some light tropical fruits, and flowers. Palate was dry, zippy and elegant. Went ridiculously well with non-spicy Vietnamese food. Will likely show at least a bit of medium-term development.
