Henri Bourgeois Cabernet Franc Petit Bourgeois

Bought one for 7 just now from a local independent eclectic shop. Solid cork. Decanted with light sediment for its age. Dark purple; expressive red fruit nose and body, rich and unusually round Cab Franc, very good mouthfeel. Delicious. Tried to order more after this bottle and managed only one in the sellout. Stored horizontally in a cool, dark basement since purchase. Quality, age, price: Outstanding-.

That still has some green to it. Bell pepper on the palate too.

Green pepper sex pot. With a little more roundness on the palate .

deep chery colour with lighter rim. nose: raw beef meat; musty; unpleasant. taste: quite thick and robust; medium tannin volume, medium acidity; plums in rather long finish. Anyway not pleasant.

Generous "juiciness" with a green and herbal flavor profile. Really very pure with no oak signature. I appreciate the winemaking transparency, and I enjoyed it for what it is, but this is not the type of wine for mainstream wine drinkers and its not good enough to appeal to wine "geeks".
