Wasn’t sure what to expect but this was holding up well. Deep purple in color, no bricking. Dark stewed fruits and nicely resolved tannins. More acidity than accustomed from Malbec but in balance and kept it fresh. I think at peak but no rush.

- Violet color and aromas of blackberry and oak. It's somewhat balanced and has flavours of black currant, blackberry and vanilla with a medium/full body. Smooth texture with a medium finish - Smooth Cali cab like malbec. Dark fruits with loads of oak.

Wow this single vineyard Malbec really had it going. If I tasted this blind I would have picked Caymus or Silver Oak cali-cab. It had the smooth mouthfeel, great nose, long finish. Opened for 2 hours, then decanted, this wine had the tannins to last but opened nicely. Great wine, great price and why I collect and cherish the pursuit of fine wine.

Popped, decanted thru a filter-funnel and poured. Very deep dark eggplant color, complex nose with berries and spices, mild cherries and dark berries with leather and vanilla, medium tannins support a well structured acidity and heat. This is a very good bottle of wine. Maybe at its peak.

I feared with 15% alc. a cloying fruit bomb, and while this is ripe, deep and rich, it approaches balance, especially with air. A completely masculine wine, without charm or guile, but loads of "flavor" and an acceptable texture (if kept on the cool side).

Awesome! Dark. Good amount of extract, nicely concentratred, powerful sweet spices on the nose. Tannins still could use a couple of years to come down but a few hours of decanting will do wonders as well. Nice long finish. Went great with a grilled skirt steak.

South American Wines (Rios de Sudamerica) : Decadent, rocking nose has bittersweet chocolate, toasty vanilla and Christmas spices. Rich and big on the palate with loads of fruit, spice and oak. Pure, unadulterated new world fruit bomb. Really tasty - but could be from anywhere.
