Weingut Gritsch Mauritiushof Riesling Smaragd Ried Kalkofen

Deep colour for its age. N: smells like a botrytis sweet wine, Very rich, honey, tropical fruits, P: full bodied, pronounced intensity. Alc is balanced but the wine has a numbing sensation. Some smoke, clove to meld with ripe stone fruits. Sweet attack but it's assuredly dry. Delicious but of a certain style that needs the right situation. Superb for food pairings.
