Decent enough, but showing some of the vintage ripeness. A bit wound up at the moment though, so give it some time and maybe it will unfurl more into something a bit more exciting.

Has the morello fruit cherry character to it. With maybe a touch of old wood. And structure and powerful.

Wow that smells really good. Really ripe, but really good to it. And good tannic grip, good definition. Should I start to use the word verticality? Long finish. Good life ahead.

Garnet red, young. Orange and cola, straightforward nose. Good tannins, not domineering, orange and tar, raspberry and roses. Good young Nebbiolo, should age well. Day 2, as expected this has melded together, roses and raspberry even clearer and distinct, tannin has receded and keeps a lacy tight structure. Very nice and raised a point to 90.

Trembath and Taylor Trade Tasting (The Argylle, Argylle Street, The Rocks, Sydney) : Nose: Leather, cream, black fruit; plum and slight tar Mouth: Medium plus acid and tannin...more savoury plum in the mouth. the finish is, perhaps, a little short.
