Drank this bottle over three nights. The nose changed each day. Shifted from initial brooding black prunes to red fruits over the three days. Alcohol was in control all three nights. The tobacco, blackberry, and blueberries were nice. Enjoyable bottle that wasn't your typical aussie bomber shiraz.

Very, very much a California-Aussie style Syrah/Shiraz. As our colleagues have noted, black fruits, a little spice, and to me, very meaty, sort of heavy. Seems a bit unidimensional, although that dimension is not all that unpleasant to me. I would not rush to buy more, although I am curious to see what the other bottle I have will taste like down the road.

Cassis and blackberry notes, almost cough syrup - a bit flat. Not terrible for $12/bottle but would not rush out to get anymore. I like big AU wines such as the Mollydookers, but this just does not compare.

This wine wasn't horrible, but stand alone it was drinkable. Definitely not something I would crave. Flavors were flat and nondescript. Had with Italian Wedding Soup and the wine didn't have enough fruit to hold up to the peppery meatballs. I was hoping for a wine that wouldn't carry the black pepper flavor from the meatballs in the soup to the wine itself. Next time I would try a wine that has a bolder sweeter fruit.

Note after 24 hours. This has a big nose of bacon fat. This is a tight wine even after 24 hours. But I am not sure it will ever open up. That being said what it shows is quite enjoyable.

Wow, just never seemed to come together after several hours and even the next day. Tasted flabby and completely over the top. I like big Aussie wines, but this one just didn't seem to have the structure to hold everything together.

It's a fruit bomb, oh yes it is, but with a heavier body, silkier palate, and finer tannins than typically seen in this style. Didn't taste 'hot' to me despite the 15.5%. Big black fruits, spices, and licorice flavors abound. No rough edges, but will likely soften even more over the next couple years.

Good purple color. Nose of currants and blackberries. Flavors were consistent with the nose, but there was some heat also. Medium to full bodied, but a suprisingly weak mouthfeel. Clunky transition to an oaky finish that lasted about 30 seconds. Decent value, but there's better Shiraz out there for the price point.

This wine needed 1-2 of decanting. it is 15.5% alcohol and tastes hot. Little aroma. Lots of fruit. It is hot and somewhat harsh right now but some bottle age should help with the harshness. This wine is ok but it is not to my liking.

dark purple.. clear... among the dark fruits there was a cedary aroma... alot of fruit on the palate but i would not call it a fruit bomb... mild tannins round out to a warm (heat) medium finish.. there was a taste i could not quite place that lingered... best i could come up with was licorice..

Very dark garnet color. Pleasing nose with plum peel, cherry and chambord, some heat. Thick mouth-coating texture, with fruit, but then it takes a quick turn toward soy sauce, molasses, petroleum and burnt rubber. Finishes hot. Complex but odd and not my taste.

Big, fruity thing here. Dark ruby, with a certain thickness, but not cloudy or opaque. Nose of cherry, dark cherry, mulberry and some lead or slate - later i felt more alcohol in it and maybe some smoke. I was really impressed with the initial color, legs and aroma, but i made a mistake by dumping into my brand new (christmas gift) decanter. I recommend drinking it soon with no decanting to enjoy the huge, dark, thick fruits it has …

Dark garnet color, clear throughout. Nose of sweet berries, spice, coffee. Firm tannins, good acidity, cherries, black berries and plums. Could stand some time to integrate; seems very primary and simple right now. Not my favorite style, but pretty typical for a fruit forward Australian shiraz.
