Excellent champagne. Gunpowder and toffee on the nose. Very hard to understand this is pure Chardonnay. The acidity is still high and I believe this will be even better next coming 10 years

The bottle variation of the Presidence -02 continues. Golden hue indicating some age and the almond notes on the nose gives hints of maturity. Very young on the palate though with tight fruit, high lingering acidity with green apple notes. I was hoping for a bit more body and maturity at thi stage but I'll place my hopes in the next bottle from the case.

This champagne has reached maturity but also still has a lot of freschness left. If you want some freschness and acid in your chamapgne, you should drink this now. If you only want mature apples, you can wait 2-3 more years. I liked the R&L Legras Saint Vincent more - I would say that the Saint Vincent is one or two steps up in quality.

Same impression as last bottle, last week. Verging on the geriatric spectrum. Old apples and walnuts. Maderised notes. Mature and as such interesting but not really up my alley

Honey Golden in color, opening up with a strong whiff of canned mushrooms on the nose (in a good way). Autolytic with roasted brioche notes with apple and grilled lime over time giving in to nutty honeycomb, hard toffee candy, white flowers (almond) and some faint marzipan notes. Still going strong two days later where the acidity has subdued some and grilled apple notes coming through.

Craig's Retirement Party (Minikahda Club, Mpls) : Pale gold color. Drank a glass over 30 minutes. Citrus, very clean, good toast, white melon, hazelnut, rising dough, very crisp and laser-like. Excellent.

Pronounced nose intensity with notes of baked pear, ripe apple, toast, yeasty, bread. High acidity and thought it's a Blanc de Blancs, which suppose to have sharper acidity, due to the bottle age, it's rounder and balanced at the mouthfeel. Very good vintage for Champagne and my first time tasting it. Drank it at Waku Ghin - 2* Michelin.

Härlig doft av äpplen, citrus, fin mineralitet och doftar lite som en vit bourgogne. Smaken när inte helt upp till samma nivå som doften där komplexiteten saknas men det är i ett gott vin som dricker bra just nu. Känns betydligt mer moget än de flesta 2002 är just nu.

R & L Legras Cuvée Présidence 2002. Druvor: 100% Chardonnay från gamla stockar. Korken vägrar lämna flaskan och när den väl gör det är tycket inifrån obefintligt. Här doftar det portvin, ädelost, madeira, vax och inledningsvis lite kork. Lätt och fruktig smak med toner av äpplejuice, madeira och port. Koncentrerad men ändå lite blaskig. Ingen mousse alls och en syra som bjuder på ett last stand (Tänk Rambo V). Har nog aldrig provat en champagne helt utan bubblor. Misstänker att …

Amazing nose with some gun powder and crushed rock toghether with nuts, toffee and coffee. However, the taste does not really match. Less complexity, lacks a bit of midpalate and the finish is a bit on the short side.

Mörk gyllengul färg med fina små bubblor. Doftar bokna röda äpplen, kakao, karamell, jäst och knallpulver! len syra med röda äpplen, lång eftersmak som verkar ligga i munnen i flera minuter. Lite lätt oxiderad, men på ett bra sätt!

Opened about 1h ahead of time for half a glass and then resealed. Still fairly closed directly after pouring but opening up beautifully after less than 30 min. Bread, yeast, autolytic. Quite nice.

F: Guldgul färg, bra mousse D: Kruti, nougat, brynt smör, äppelskrutt, reduktivt, S: Smörigt även i munnen, som en bourgogne med bubblor, intensivt, bra längd, fortsatt en viss syra. Ett vin jag druckit tidigare och som jag verkligen uppskattar.

PNP into Zalto Burgundy glass (“Flower” day): Very rich fruit like apricots and almost tropical fruits. Almost sucrose like sweetness on nose. White bread yeasts. White florals. On palate very nicely lean and full of energy. Clean finish. 92-93 points.
