Found this laying in a corner of the cellar - thought it had been lost for a couple of years. Pleasantly surprised at how good this was. Pretty non-descript on the nose, but on the palate there's excellent depth and focus to its tangy plum and boysenberry fruit, along with a moderate acidity. Displays good length and subtle notes of olive and tar on the juicy finish. Not flamboyant, but very solid and enjoyable. 50+5+11+16+7=89

garnet, medium/long legs, strawberry-rhubarb aroma, oxidized red berry flavor, opens at 80, rises to 85 for a brief period after an hour, hen deteriorates quickly; past prime, drink now!

This was a ready to drink Shiraz, brought to a dinner party by a friend. The flavors were baed black fruit pie, largely foursquare and overly ripe for my taste, but the crowd seemed to like it. Supple tannins at this point, and med ripe fruity finish. Drink now.

Quite nice, dark and balanced. Heavy bodied with rich but mellow tannins. Maybe a touch boring in flavor but still enjoyable.

Consistent with prior notes - maybe even a bit better this time, particularly on the nose. Dusty, earthy aromas of dark berries and flowers. Tart and tangy, this is loaded with intense black currant, plum and sour cherry flavor. The depth and length are both excellent. Now shows a pretty vanilla note on the long, lip-smacking finish. 90+ 50+5+12+16+7=90

Not objectionable, but little depth or complexity.

Consistent with my prior tasting note. Shy on the nose - showing just a hint of pepper and some blueberries along with a little bit of heat. But this delivers in a big way on the palate. Full-boded, rich and silky with lots of tangy dark fruit and berry character. The mouthwatering finish is long and complex. A real QPR heavyweight. 50+5+11+16+8=90

This doesn't have much of a nose, but on the palate it is full-bodied and bursting with tart, tangy flavors of currant and blackberry. There's also a nice, lively acidity which adds to its overall appeal. The long, juicy finish features notes of tar, licorice and mineral. With a more expressive nose, I would have scored this at 91 points. Still, it's a great wine for everyday drinking, and at just $11 a terrific value as well. 50+5+11+16+8=90

This wine was tasted slightly below room temp after a long period of decanting. In Appearance, this was a clear wine with a deep ruby hue that faded only slightly at the rim. It showed long, thin, persistent legs as well. The Nose here was clean and developing with a medium intensity of aromas that included some blackberry and raspberry along with some cocoa, cigar box and a touch of sweet spice and cedar. The Palate was dry and full-bodied. …

A melange of deep fruits, in balance, gentle tannin. Now to 2013. Profound VFM.

- Garnet color and aromas of diesel. It's somewhat balanced and has flavours of black currant and oak with a medium/full body. Juicy texture with a long finish.

Very dark inky purple in color. On the nose I get lots of dark fruit like plum and blueberry with some black cherry. There is a noticeable creamy vanilla oakiness that dominates with hints of an herbaceous green spice. On the palate there is the same dark fruits on the initial attack but quickly transitions to a spicy vanilla oak with hints of chocolate and black pepper on the mid palate. This wine finishes with some nice black cherry fruit …

Not quite up to par with other G Norman wines - very unremarkable - even at $13 / btl; agree w/ Tim221

Lovely plum, blackberry, and black cherry aromas. Smooth, chalky tannins. Pomegranate, blackberry, and cherry fruit flavors. Some spice in the aftertaste. Nicely balanced, fruit-forward Shiraz without the Barossa intensity but perhaps more food friendly because of it. Had with lemon-lamb Moroccan sausage and salad.

An "ok" Shiraz. Went very well with chili, and with a pastrami sandwich. Not a standalone wine. No residual flavor, weak acids. Wouldn't buy again, but not opposed to drinking it with strong foods.

Decanted for 2 hours before tasting. The noise is of cedar smoke, dark cherries and plumb. The palete is of anais (licorice) with a tart sweet after taste.

Drank with grilled burgers...good but not great right after opening. Got better over the next 2-3 days after Vacu-Vin and refrigerating. Smooth, nicely integrated oak and a good finish. Nice QPR.
