Gourmetklubbens sextionde middag (A+N, Sundbyberg) : (Decanted for one hour) Brick red colour showing fruitful notes of blueberry and a touch of oak. Nice and balanced on the nature palate still showing some primary fruitful sweetness combined with some herbs and leather notes. (Best 2015-2030)

Wow that's good. Blackberry, eucalyptus, licorice, vanilla. Still very fresh, has years to go. So elegant, drunk next to a Basket Press and made it look a bit cheap and fruit bomb-y in comparison.

Excellent, superb red, still very fresh, but with considerable depth.14,5% alc. Colour: deep black berries Bouquet: classic blackberries and spice, ripe fresh dark fruits like black plums, leather Palate: as bouquet, plus blueberries, barbecued caramelised raspberries, smokey, black olives, vegemite, some green capsicum still. Big soft full tannins, balanced by fruit and alcohol. February 2022

Very dark red with hints of purple. A touch of spice. Succulent fruit and wood. Full bodied, tannins and acid in balance. Lingering length. Possibly a touch of alcohol heat. Drinking really well for a 13 year old wine and yet it still has another 5+ years in the tank. 94.

Blackish purple, slight bricking. Sweet, ripe nose, black cherries and sandalwood, some leather and cured meats. Full bodied but with good structure in the mouth, generous fruit backed up by good acidity and still noticeable tannins. Surprisingly fresh, almost crunchy fruit, and very nicely balanced by a settled mouthfeel. Difficult to pinpoint all the details in the flavour profile but this is an outstanding wine, no two ways about it. Deceptively easy to drink as is the way with all …

Back-to-back tasting of Michael / John Riddoch. The Shiraz is opaque, purple black in the glass, concentrated and youthful in appearance. Very dense bouquet, a heady perfume of oak, black pepper, liquorice and spice. Underneath there are hints of purer raspberry fruit. The density is even more pronounced in the mouth with a solid block of tight aromas, that liquorice again, salty burnt rubber, and crushed raspberry. Nice, and no hints of bacon or jam. Long finish, integrated, still young, …
