Pale straw colour. Tropical fruit hints on the nose. More at the rhoney end than the Rioja end of the spectrum this wine often inhabits. Lovely mouthfeel, benefited from warming up in the glass. Went well with hake with ginger.

**MST 35.3** (16/20) Belated, sorry... And not giving it the attention it deserves, drinking this on Easter day in the garden with good friends. Energetic wine, beautiful acidity, lingering finish. Bit reductive. Medium+ intense aromas of white peach, mandarin, lemon zest, gooseberry, blossom, almond, wet stone, sea salt. Dry wine, high acidity, medium body, pronounced flavour intensity, long finish. 13,5% ABV - MST box @[1|964648|Nieuwe Wijnen]

Maybe my favourite of Jonathan's wines. Epic value for what it is. A blend of Grenache Gris, Macabeu (which I believe is known as viura in Rioja) and Carignane blanc. In terms of style, it's like a slightly toned down chateuauneuf, or maybe a more fruit driven white rioja. It's a little rich - a hint of pineapple but not too much - lovely balance and just, well, lovely.

A blend of Grenache Gris (50%), Macabeu (40%) and Carignan Blanc (10%) from vines aged 40-65 years. Fermentation with natural yeasts, spontaneous MLF, aged for 6 months in French barriques. Filtered upon bottling. No added sulfites. Alc 13,7%. Total production 4800 bottles. Pale yellow color. Sweetly-fruited nose with aromas of pineapples, some bananas, a little bit of apple purée, light floral tones, a hint of mushy apricots and a touch of creaminess form the barrel aging. Overall very juicy and …

Filtered upon bottling. No added sulfites. Alc 13,7%. Total production 4800 bottles. Very pale green with lemon yellow highlights. Sweet, almost candied nose with aromas of gummy bears and marshmallow, with notes of white peach, pear marmalade and cream underneath. The nose leads to expect a bigger wine, as the …

White fruit, pear and slight exotics on the nose. The medium to full bodied, oily palate adds some smoky, waxy and stony stuff as well as some bitterness. Mild to medium acidity. Long finish with almonds and slight astringency. Creamy, delicious and more complex than it seems first. Excellent with food.
