Pour @ Lucky Joe's Fort Collins. Pours a dark golden orange appearance. Pretty fruity nose. Lots of citrus lemon, molasses, leather, fig. Very little retronasal burn. Slightly spicy. Still kind of strange aroma. Incredibly smooth flavor. Again, citrus, vanilla, and tannins. Brown sugar. A bit of coconut and vanilla. Pretty potent on the flavor and more subtle in the nose. Way different than I expected based on my beer experiences.

Distilled 2/14/10. Smoke, spice, oak, caramel, peat with a hint of almost sweetness at the end. A joy to sip.

Very nice whisky, similar to bourbon, but a bit wilder. Hard to give a truly objective appraisal since we tried this at a 10th mountain hut at 11,000 feet after a beautiful day of backcountry skiing. It was served with a fresh dollop of Colorado snow - superb.
