Leaf Day - PnP. Garnet core extending out to a ruby edge. Nose of red and black fruit, savoury herbs, leather, and spice (cardamom perhaps?). On the palate it’s medium bodied with plum, cherry, vanilla, sweet and savoury herbs and spice (pepper this time) - still quite primary and fruit forward even with the herbs and spice. Medium plus finish with the red fruit and spice continuing. Pretty tasty - kind of Australia meets the Rhone. It does taste like …

Good value. Blackberry, black pepper, medium acidity, medium dry. Medium tannins. Medium finish. I guess I am saying it’s very average.Typical of a lower priced Aussie Shiraz. Would buy again.

Mouth: A smooth, complex melange of disparate flavors: black tea, black potting soil, white pepper, crushed granite, all arcing around a cherry reduction and blackberry note. a light sheen of vanilla spice and light tannins persist through to the end. Overall: Palate is backward somewhat, introducing the tertiary notes first before letting the fruit finish. In all beautifully distinctive however, with a sheen of evolving flavors that often …

It took 2 hours of decanting to bring out the fruit in this wine. Deep, dark, and brooding. Black fruit, tobacco, mineral flavors. Very good quality for the price tag of $20. Looking at the drinking window of this wine...I say it's good long beyond 2022. It needs some time in the bottle before opening another.
