Colour Vibrant red. Nose Scents of tea-smoked duck. Meaty, gamey, glazed. Intriguingly, wafts of stone-fruited nectar aromatically set apart from a dollop of chocolate/raspberry (venison) sauce. No oak to speak of... Palate At once, rich & expansive, long, round and glossy. An amalgam of red fruits and varietal spices. Ripe, polished tannins – a flash of graphite; a suggestion of knife sharpening -stone/oil.

Very fresh and vibrant when first opened , improved with each passing day , day five drinking beautifully Colour deep intense impenetrable red , purple edges 15/15 Nose intense , meaty , raspberry chocolate liquorice 28/30 Palate rich luscious velvety intense 40/44 Overall day 5 and still drinking with such intensity , should age for decades 9/11
