Low grade fruity flavor. Cherry jello. I spit it out and dumped the bottle.

Tasted at a dinner event at the request of non-wine geeks tablemates that wanted to hear my thoughts. One word: Arf.

What a waste of money. I so regreat having bought this even with a 70% discount on Black Friday! Tastes like expired cough syrup! It’s good to make a handy Molotov Cocktail for your typical revolution or serving to annoying in-laws during family reunions!

This not a style I favor. Too much fruity jam too little elegance and could have been a Cab Merlot American blend

Way too sweet and syrupy for my taste. If you like a sweeter wine this can certainly been a good choice but I would not treat this like a traditional pinot noir. Heavy on fruit and vanilla...in my opinion, too heavy.

This is like drinking liquid jam, it's sweet and fruity, dark berries, currants; full bodied, with mild tannins. A guilty pleasure.

Very sweet and fruity. Not a bad casual glass of wine, but it’s not very good Pinot noir.

Phenomenal bottle. I love the aroma and how it tastes on the palate. It is a little fruitier and reminds me of certain Port Wines. But I love the taste profile. It's also a fantastic bottle for the price point.

Also sometimes good to keep your hand it by writing a note for something truly awful. This wine is awful. How do you do this to pinot noir? You must have allowed these grapes to become so overripe, and done so much weird food tech stuff to the juice, to make it taste like bad merlot. I mean there is obviously excellent merlot, no shade on merlot, but it's still weird that this tastes like bad merlot, not like bad …

Basically undrinkable. Tastes like something you'd buy at your local pharmacy to threat a sore throat! Unfortunately bought 4 half bottles during black friday hoping it would be at least allright. Don't make the same mistake. Will relegate them to use for cooking.

Couldn't take more than a few tastes because of how sweet it was. This is not a Pinot Noir that I've ever had.

This is not the typical Pinot Noir, it was a richer Pinot Noir than I'm used to. While I usually prefer dry wine, I did not find this too sweet. I'll definitely be buying this again.

Very very good Pinot noir. Chocolatey, fruit forward, medium body, and pairs VERY WELL with chocolate, charcuterie, etc without losing any balance with or without food. This will be a staple.

Intentionally put in a a controversial wine. One of the best selling Pinot Noir in California (20,000,000 bottles per year). Aromas of strawberry and jammy red fruit, mocha, vanilla, and toasty oak. Flavors of black fruits, thick, rich, dark cherry, strawberry, mocha and toasty oak. Thick and syrupy. Reminded me of cherry cough syrup. Part of a larger tasting.

From 75cl screwcap. Dark colour - like a medium bodied Cabernet Sauvignon. Ripe PN and stewed plum scent. Sweet stewed fruit taste, considerable residual sugar. Unpleasant sugary finish. Unpleasant to the point of near-undrinkablility, but not obviously faulty. 80P

Let's be honest here, there is no way you would ever pick this wine out as a Pinot Noir in a blind tasting, even when young, so we were not sure where it would be as it aged; but it is a tasty non-descript red at this age.

If you like your reds sweet look no further. If you approach this as maybe a lightish Ruby Port you might not be disappointed. Cracks up a bit on the finish. Not a lot to recommend despite the Monterey/Santa Barbara/Sonoma blend. Still has a ways to go is the guess here, such as it is..

Epitomizes all that is wrong with most California Pinot. Thick dull tar taste. Slightly better than most California Pinot, but still a dud. I thought the bottle might improve with air. It changed and became less astringent, but there was no reward for the wait. As I had a guest, I should have moved onto a different wine.

Holy Residual Sugar, Batman! Dark purple, sweet, vanilla, smooth finish. Clearly pinot, but not at all in my wheelhouse. Novice wine drinkers and those with a sweet tooth will absolutely love it.

LA = 90+ with initial wow factor on fruit. Opened yesterday and let it warm up for about two hours and wasn't very good. Today it is very good with mild nose of light leather, forest floor, and dark fruit. Nice, smooth mouth feel and medium to long finish. What a difference a day makes. I'll buy again but decant and give it plenty of time to breath.

Very dark, almost purple hue. Aromas of sweet cream, berries, sarsaparilla, and oak spices with tastes like bright cherry, cola, dried leaves undertoned with vanilla, leather and high style oak. The wine has a lingering, succulent finish

The Belle Glos Meiomi Pinot Noir is ripe, rich and round on the palate; fine and friendly from start to finish. The wine looks Garnet colored with medium legs and body. The wine has smooth texture and finishes medium.

We started the night with a bottle of Belle Glos 2010 Meiomi (which is a Pinot Noir). Now there are those who find the Meiomi wine to be a little on the jammy and full side, especially for a Pinot Noir - "it's wine, but it isn't Pinot" ... and while I see their point it is one of my guilty pleasure wines, it's just one of those reds that puts a smile on your face with it (too?) fresh …

My first taste of this producer, nose of cherry, blackberry, roasted meat, and dusty earth, more of the same on the palate, very tasty, surprisingly so, medium body, lots of flavor on the mid palate, a little short on the finish compared to the palate, a long finish. Great value for $18.
