Emmanuel Rouget, Bourgogne Passe-tout-grains

This was very reduced and unpleasant; didn't seem to change much in an hour so recorked and will revisit tomorrow. Still reduced and not drinkable. Bummer.

A balance Bourgogne in both taste and aroma, as usual.

Very enjoyable and it really relates to other Rouget's products! Nice 2017!

Popped-and-poured. Mature red cherry flavors and aromas. If blind, I'd have thought 100% Pinot Noir, but older. At its peak now.

This is fresh and lively. The nose is full of brambly red fruits - both the pinot noir and gamay here shine through. On the palate is raspberry sorbet, strawberries and mint. Very light and refreshing, no need to wait on this one.

Fruity at the very beginning, gradually floral and fantastic. Great entry level wine that is nearly grand cru level.

First wine from Rouget; relatively unimpressed; the nose initially was quite muted, opened to show some bright red fruits and a bit of floral and spice notes. The palate was solid with some juicy acidity, but if felt almost tangy without food. Certainly overall not bad, but definitely not worth the price for this showing. Will see how the next bottle shapes up. Night 2 is somewhat better; the nose is definitely improved with ripe red fruits, persistent floral notes, …

Worth it most times.
