Holy shit .... TOR BTK are some of my current favs, but even for them this is drinking stunning right now. Decanted about an hour. Smooth, complex, fills every part of your mouth, 90 sec finish (or longer) I didn't put a stop watch on it. I still had it hanging on by the time I wanted another sip.

Interesting bottle. Opened a bit harsh and tannic even at the 90 minute mark. By the three hour mark this had evolved to reveal jammy strawberry and raspberry with a hint of sweetness on a long finish. Very tasty but I do not expect this to improve.

A lot of life in this B2K beauty. Still refined and well balanced. Deep garnet and purple hues open to a subtle nose of black fruit. Decanting 1 hr revealed Plenty of life left as this opens up to rich but balanced flavors of earth, dark fruits, and dried herbs. Wish I had more.

Delightfully elegant and restrained. Native yeast fermentation, no fining or filtering, just good old school vineyard management and gentle vinification. Agree with other tasting notes presented here. Might have been enjoyed 1-2 years earlier just to have a but more To Kalon power but lovely anytime.

Decanted and served. Gorgeous single-vineyard, single-clone effort from America's best vineyard. Pure, concentrated but not over the top, cassis, licorice, and sweet tobacco. Long finish. Light pipe tobacco on the nose. Really good for the vintage and drinking well now although Parker gives it till 2035!

PnP and similar to last experience this is just drinking really nicely right now. A very well balanced Napa cab, dark and red fruits, with lots of tobacco leaf and a good spine of acid keeping it fresh. Currently in a great drinking window if you have these in your cellar.

My first time with this wine, although it has been in my cellar since release. Was not quite sure what to expect, but was very pleased with the results. Popped it in the decanter to warm up from the fridge for about 30 minutes prior to serving. Acker BYO Holiday Dinner (Tribeca Grille) : Coming on the heels of a Bordeaux this was more of the almost extracted Napa fruit wine. It's not over the top though and comes across as more fun and a bit like the child in me who just likes a bit of that jammy flavor. A touch of heat on the aftertaste, but suspect that would blow off with a decant.

Wow-what a difference time makes. Complex dark fruits create a wine with a wonderful long finish that changes it's flavor profile across the palate. My bottle actually could have used a couple more years of aging!

Wow, this is what people drink CA cab for. Big. Fruit forward. Great balance. Full, but not overly ripe. Powerful but in balance from the attack through long "sweet" finish. PDQ95+

Decanted for 90 minutes, but that wasn't enough to burn off the ridiculous odor of alcohol and discordant flavors, a negative impression that endured in the drinking. I was fobbing it off on friends who cared a bit less but even they thought it verging on the tacky. Huge disappointment. Pity I have a bunch more,

Huge fruit in a very ripe California style. Too young, as it was a bit overpowering in it's ripeness. Score could increase with some age. Overall, well integrated wine. PDQ93

- It's somewhat balanced with a medium/full body. Fleshy texture with a medium finish - This is very good right now. If I am comparing, I would say that this wine is similar to a Roy but not as velvety or with as much terroir. That's not necessarily a negative as it is very smooth. Still a little young.

Decanted for 4 hours , great nose ,great pour , soft tannins dark fruit , overall a great wine could use another year or two in the bottle but great now , wish I had more.

This is drinking well now. The tannins are soft and the fruit is lovely. It's still on the big side and needs some years to come together as the oak is not fully integrated yet. I'm glad I have more. WOTN

Decanted for 3 hours, could of used 4 to 6 hours, nice nose, deep ruby red pour , overall very disappointing for the price level maybe caught it at a bad time , just really funky wine with 2 levels and little to no finish.

Incredible bottle of wine. At this point of the evening, I was more enjoying the wines and company, so no formal notes taken. Flamboyant nose and incredible structure on the palate. For its youth, this was shockingly impressive, and this bottle should do nothing but improve for several more years. This was better than the 08 Schrader RBS I opened last weekend...terrific juice.

The most accessible of the 08 Tor To-Kalon bottlings currently, but my personal least favorite of the bunch. Don't get me wrong, this is still a great wine, but it just lacked the structure and flamboyant nose present in the Clone 337 and Clone 4 bottlings. But like the others, it should improve greatly with time.

Like the other Tors tonight, lots and lots of upside potential. Slightly more open on the nose that the 337, this had a bit more licorice and a softer fruit profile. Again, very young, extremely promising and fun to drink, even now. I would expect the score to rise substantially given some years.

Along with the 6, the most complex of the bunch. This score has plenty of room to go higher in the coming years if this improves like I bet it will. Somewhat restrained right now, but still the nose speaks volumes with lots going on (spices, dark fruit, earth, cocoa), and the structure overflows on the palate. I am not a huge fan of modern napa cabs, but this is one of the top in my book.
