This started out with an impressive nose of deep sweet earthy dark cherries but the palate was quite thin and sour. After about an hour of air the palate had developed and was more balanced with bits of forest floor, cherries and herbs. It was even better with porcini ravioli. Great example of aged nebbiolo

Tasted blind. Red fruit, cherries, cloves, and Christmas spices on the nose. Medium tannins with quite high acidity and much less fruit on the palate compared to the nose. Very structured and still quite young. Good finish. Interesting wine.
