Exactly one year ago today, we enjoyed the hospitality of Nick Gebers and had dinner with his lovely family, and tasted his unique wines. I opened this bottle in memory of that great evening. The full-bodied 2017 Missing Virgin is a blend of 70% Pinotage and 30% Petit Verdot. It is dark ruby in colour and shows ripe dark fruit, blackberry, boysenberry, plum, chocolate, spices and vanilla, with lively acidity, plenty of ripe, fine tannin and very good length. It …

A trip to South Africa's Coastal Region with Reni, Rainer and Bert. Day 9, Klein River Valley and Stellenbosch. Tasted at the winery, with hospitable owner and winemaker Nick Gebers.
