On the mode black currant, grassy notes and leather. On the palate: black currant, leather and the tannins are there.

Klein Constantia Tasting : Turning garnet. Shows a lot of age on the nose, too. Christmas spice and old hardwood floor. Dried cranberry and starry, surprisingly. Blackcurrant liqueur and freshly cracked black pepper. Forest floor and a little rubber and Vaseline. On the palate, it’s still very much alive with medium body and medium+ tannin. Medium+ acidity as well. Hot wine with spices, black pepper and Russian mors. Medium+ finish. 9+/18. I loved it to be honest. I think it’s …

Wine Society History Makers Tasting. Brief Notes: Black fruits on the nose. Rich and ripe but well balanced. Dominated by the fruit profile the tannins are fine and there’s a nice dryness on the finish.

Brought this wine to Yunnan's (Westgate) for lunch with a very close ex-colleague. We had Braised Chicken Noodles with Dried Chilli, Stir Fried Wild Porcini Mushroom with Dried Chillies, Grilled Pork Trotters with Spices, and Sauteed Cabbage with Dried Chillies. Ruby red in colour. A big wine - in my view a bit monolithic, but Mrs H loved it (probably because of the 46% syrah!). Lots of weight and cool dark fruit. We're planning to keep this for another three to four years in the hope that more complexity develops.

Decent enough wine, well made and balanced. It was just nothing stood out. May be it needs time.

Slušné, vybalancované, stále kyselé. Ale za ty peníze to není odpividající. Možná za 3-4 roky

Klein Constantia Tasting (WSPC) : Cabernet Sauvignon – Syrah – Malbec – Petit Verdot The wine shows density, bright black fruit, cherries, currants, berries, oak frame, spices, vanilla, nutty and a touch warm In the palate, the wine shows tightness, aggressive heat, tight tannins, blackcurrant, red currant, red cherries, a bit dusty, feels leaner than expected, medium finish. Bitterness in the aftertaste, will require time
