Nose of honey, peach, and dried leaves. Tastes of citrus, peach, almond, honey, with some lovely lingering saline minerality on the finish. Quite a surprise and treat at June Wine Bar in Brooklyn.

This is a fascinating wine from KLWines. It reminds me of an aged white Rioja from R. Lopez de Heredia due to its waxy, mineral core. Floral, fruity, and yeasty overtones, along with a hint of butterscotch, add aromatic interest. I would have liked to taste this 6 years ago to get a sense of what the fresh fruit tasted like. The fruit is almost dissipated today, leaving a wine that tastes noble and austere.
