Leather on the nose, old leaves, forest floor etc Quite firm tannins, dark fruit, chestnuts, showing a little oxidation. Tastes very old fashioned, in quite a fun way. This would be great with a boeuf bourgignon. £46.

bit sweet and over extracted. Very smooth mouthfeel. Ready to drink now. Enjoyable. Would drink over the next 5 years

Very nice charming burgundy. Nose is quite light, elegant red raspberry fruit with some orange rind character. Palate is fine, somewhat narrow and focused. Has a terrific chalky core with a stony quality. Finish a bit short and light, with the acidity getting a touch angular. I suspect this will round out with time but quite enjoyable now.

Gorgeous ripe character, pretty berry fruits… full of charm. Fuller and more rounded on the palate, compared to the VV, with a genuine elegance and signature lift. Not to say this isn’t structured – there is a moreish sapid edge and a mineral flourish ahead of a long finish. (will need a little time to unwind a touch)
