Similar notes as previous tastings. Ruby color. Red and black fruits in the nose and flavor, blackberries, currants, black cherries, mocha and licorice with floral notes. Elegant wine, well balanced, nice complexity and a medium to long smooth finish.

Really really good stuff. Lots of life and still packing a punch. Has aged beautifully. Such a great QPR.

Delicious wine. Notes of red and dark fruits - cherry, currant and a touch of blackberry - followed by licorice and chocolate. Delicious eith the dry-aged, Roseda porterhouse steak.

This was spectacular. Perfect balance, great fruit left, tannins resolved. Complex and brooding. Drink this year.

Enjoyable but over 15% alcohol! Delicious but nothing delicate about his wine.

Uncorked an allowed to slow ox for 90 minutes, followed over three hours. This is everything that makes a great California wine..... Bordeaux nose has some dark tea, leather, black plum. Finish could be a little longer, but the fine-grained tannins linger nicely front to mid-palate, and offer dark, aged fruit notes. This is solid on its own or with food. Hold 2020 as the far side of the ideal drinking window. Can’t wait to try a bottle of the …

Has matured well. Still needed some time to open, but once it did, it was gorgeous. Tasted over a 2 day period with no substantive change from day to day. Should still have many years left.

Pop and pour, mostly enjoyed this delectable sweetness while handing out treats to the kids tonight. Was great on its own but even better with some Moo Cow. Rich berry, tea, and tar aromas with some pepper and spice. Structure is beginning to waiver and become more fruit dominant, indicating this is probably in its peak at present. Yummerlicous is a solid descriptor, and I stand firmly by that word!!

Unfortunately this was a pop and pour, ultimately decanted to give it some air as it was a bit tight upon opening. Another typically solid Lewelling, this still has 2-3 years of solid life; in or approaching its peak.

At peak now. It's like candy ina a glass. Crazy sweet fruit with a finish that goes on for minutes. One of the great wine bargains of all time.

Restaurant pop and pour. Blackberry, sweet tar resin, red currants and red licorice on the nose. Dry, silky coating on the palate with watery blackberry and sweet dark fruit on a lingering finish.

FULL EXTRACTION CABERNET at 15.4 percent. Oh mama. Tasted this one at a wine bar about 2 or 3 years ago. Has been kept in cramped quarters hence the road rashed label. This one has to have a big Malbec component. Poured into the glass with a purple hue. Nose was blackberry cobbler, black licorice, and pie spice. Entry is a full bodied tannic wine yet had the full bodied intensity to still be "silky" on the tongue. Vanilla and …

Big brooding wine, almost overpowering, very high alcoholic content, so this needs to be decanted for a long time.
