Tyler Chardonnay and Pinot Noir (K&L Wines, San Francisco) : Light yellow, greenish tint. Toasty oak, pear, and pineapple. Medium body, glycerine, some leesiness. Fairly neutral flavors, citric acidity, woody astringent finish. Better texture than flavor.

Just opened and a little bit of creamy character on the nose. Lots of phenolic strength and weight, massive amounts of power to the palate. Extremely long finish. Outstanding in quality and value if at $65.

Awesome Cali Chard. A wine that just gets better and better with age.

Crazy wine. The acidity was off the charts! Very unexpected for a California chardonnay. Higher acid than even a lot of white burgs in recent memory. Very sleek and polished. Lemon curd, citrus, almonds, mineral and a nice kiss of oak that really makes this wine sing. Not too often I find myself saying this about a white wine, but this definitely needs some time to come together and mellow out a little. Very sophisticated. Definitely more Puligny than Chassagne.

12/4/21 With oak grilled mahi-mahi. Decanted in Erlenmeyer flask for an hour chilled. This wine is bright pale straw aromatically provides a sense of pears, orange blossom, citrus, lime zest, faint oak, sea Breeze (without the stink)salinity, no reduction or tropical fruits noted. on the pallet it is fairly lean but lithe in body, there may be some faint oyster shell but what registers is the salinity and tartness without being offputting. It has a nice grace and lifted mid …

Had at the winery during visit. Resembles a Burgundy style, slight mineral with hint of creamy malo finish. Really enjoyed.

As good as it get for Cali Chardonnay, just a stunner of a bottle showing like a baby Montrachet.

A little too much acid for my taste. Never quite balanced out. Mouthfeel didn't quite deliver either. But definitely very alive, and improved with food.

High acid, really high. Definitely lean, but fattens up with some air. The oak usage definitely becomes more apparent over time. Really delicious wine.

This light yet complex Chardonnay is drinking well right now. While clearly on the leaner end of the spectrum, this wine delivers considerable power and grace. Light yellow, almost silver, in color; light in body; nose of lemon peel, wet rock, and ocean air. Tastes of green apple, grapefruit, saline, and minerals, with a light and lingering finish that carries a hint of vanilla bean. 13% alcohol. This softened after an hour of air. Drink in next year or so. …

Outstanding effort from Justin at Tyler. Ethereal juice with bright citrus elements but not obtrusive or overpowering. Austere at first but also elegant in entry. Starts to show with some time in glass and on the palate. Mineral notes play across the palate. Lovely Chardonnay.

Very bright and lively. Initially driven by citrus and lemon zest. Significant acidity to keep this amped up. It benefitted from air and time in the glass as it rounded out a bit as it warmed. Clear quality in the glass and has ample life ahead.
