Not very enjoyable. Fruity nose; medium-minus intensity. Imbalanced on the palate; not enough acidity for refreshment.

As much as I love returning to Paso Robles, this wine is far from hitting even the basic mark. No pleasure and angry acidity. Not my cup of tea.

Enjoyed this wine very much - and more than expected. Medium+ bodied. Good deep flavor. Dark color. Dry. Very nice, especially for the price.

Very light nose of red berries and mint. First tasting notes include prunes, currants, and rhubarb. Then come the oaks and the tannins. At 15%, the EtOH concentration is higher than I’d like. Drinkable, especially when paired with food. But, there are better choices at this price point.

Plush with blackberries, strawberries, and violets on nose and palate. Peppery, slightly meaty, and has a lingering finish. Good structure with fine grained tannins. An emblematic Paso Robles Cab blend. Delightful. Day 2 Smoother and more refined, with 78% dark chocolate flecked with cacao nib overtaking the finish.

Notes of blackberry, black cherry, cassis, plum, some blueberry, cocoa and earthy elements. Big and bold with gnarly tannins. Still a bit young, if I get another bottle I will hold it for a couple of years.

1/3 petite sirah in there and you do feel it. So in addition to the oak the grippines of the petite.

Tried it from a fresh bottle, so I gave it some time to breathe. Honestly, not much striking about it to begin. Nothing particularly good or bad. Red and blue fruit, a good bit of oak, fairly smooth. The acid was noticeable but not especially meaningful. It sort of checks the boxes without doing anything especially well. Then I paired it with a meat and cheese plate and it finally came alive. The flavors were much more pronounced and expressive. …

Nose: cherry, blackberry, steel Taste: medium acid, medium + body, medium minus tannin, off dry, lots of red fruit, some of the metal in the finish, well balanced for being 15% etoh, not too much heat Flaws: none Finnish: 5-7s Complexity: simple Overall: Good table wine; paired with ratatouille and herb crusted focaccia; could use another 3-5 years to express more fruit and less of that metallic/processed taste Rating: 86 Per the GF: tastes like transformer, too much metal taste …

Decent nose, slightly red berry notes. Palate is fairly well balanced fruit to body. Just a touch of what I think of as a processed taste. Might do better in a couple more years.
