The 7 Chabertin "Satellites" Grand Crus tasting : A modern interpretation, offering polished aromas of ripe red fruit, floral pastille, and discreet oak. Supple and charming, with a creamy mid-palate and soft, resolved tannins. Not the most complex wine of the flight, but balanced, generous, and impeccably made.

20x Burgundy 2014 - 10 years on : We tasted 16 reds (all blind) and 4 whites (non-blind). Some observations: 1) True to the vintage, most wines showed fresh, with medium+ complexity, a bright fruit profile but still a bit of rusticity here and there. 2) The tannins will have to melt further, and age should bring a bit more complexity. But my guess is, only the top wines will have enough stuffing to age gracefully for an extended period …

2014 Red Burgundy 10years on, tasted blind : Much richer, riper and more extracted than the two Trapet next to it. Dark fruit mainly, with chocolate also pointing to new oak. Nice, balanced palate, but not very long, at least not today. Upside from here. Group Rank: 6/16

Medium bodied with pure cherry and classic Gevrey meatiness. Fully integrated structure. This is dialed in and ready to go.

Pretty fruit, still very primary. Would hold for more character.

Very enjoyable and, in a night of '14 Grand Crus, this was among the more open examples. Perrot-Minot has seemingly become less oaky but retains a glossy texture. The fruit here is bold and delicious.

Very good stuffing and concentration, but this is fairly brooding and wound up right now. Just barely showing any Gevrey character. Hold for 3-5 years.

Lightish color. Lovely nose of fresh cherries and ferrous minerals. Elegant and lighter-bodied but still young and lean with nice cherry fruit and classic Gevrey mineral flavors. Finishes with a nice tang and building complexity. I would expect this to deepen a bit with another couple of years in the cellar but its certainly drinkable now especially with food. Well done but not especially concentrated or deep.

Domaine Perrot-Minot Tasting/Dinner with Some Other Great Burgundy from DNS (The Bristol - Chicago IL) : Tasting, brief note. Black cherry with smoked sausage notes and a slightly rugged texture. Very Gevrey character, slightly less finessed than I have grown to expect from Perrot-Minot, even at this level.
