Ruby with a violet meniscus. Violets, strawberry, & bubblegum on the nose. Strawberries, dried herbs, and a little pencil lead on the palate. Medium bodied. Drink now thru 2030 at the latest. Day 2 Smoother and plummier. Some baking spice evident. Even more pleasurable. Adding a point.

Hand-picked grapes and 8 months maturation in large oak barrels. 1h decant in the glass, which was fine. Silky palate with black cherries, violets, smooth tannins, and cloves. Liked it better than the Peter Zemmer 2022 Lagrein, which we had afterwards.

Previous review captured the profile. Delicious wine, great QPR.

Colour: medium purple Nose: medium(+) intensity, secondary, youthful. Red and black plum, mulberry, bramble. Black cherry? Cedar, sweet spice. Black and green peppercorns. Palate: dry, medium(+) acidity, medium tannins, medium alcohol (14%), medium(+) bodied. Medium intensity, medium(+) length finish. Red and black plum, mulberry, bramble. Black cherry? Dark ruby. On the nose aromas of blackberries, blueberries, blackcurrant, mocha, cocoa, slight vanilla. On the palate similar to the nose. Juicy and fresh, bursting with ripe fruit, oaky vanilla, cocoa and mocha hovering, and slight spiciness and round dusty tannins. Pairs really well to meat and tackles some spice in the food well. Medium+ body, medium acidity and medium- tannins.
