I love Zinfandel. I regularly drink Zins from Turley, Ridge, Carlisle, JC Cohn, Kokomo, Peachy Canyon, Bedrock, Rafanelli, & Cline. This wine is as good as or exceeds these larger producers. I also had a tasting here that was an amazing experience. The property is transcendental. This Zin at age nine has precision, multidimensional flavors, maybe it has a touch of VA that adds a positive dimension. The vibrancy is amazing. Medium mid palate with warmer climate aromatics.

Not enough fruit and not balanced enough to drink.

This is a beautiful Zin. Medium/dark in color, dark chery, some spice and a long finish. A nice bright Zinfandel that is well made.

Crazy qpr at $18. Lovely dark fruit switching to cranberry on the finish. Dead day 2. (90+)

I agree with the previous review - it's a fairly muscular Pinot. Heavy on the red fruit, but bracing acidity on the finish, some earthy/herby notes and spice. It's a great bottle to move up someone from sweet, syrupy PN. It has enough ripeness to please, but still proper.

This is a deep violet, semi-transparent wine. It has the typical black cherry, strawberry along with some prune flavors. The body is muscular for a pinot with a rich consistency. It's a concentrated wine although simple in complexity. For the money, one rarely gets this level of extraction and body from a well regarded appellation. Overall, its a good wine that falls on the masculine side for a pinot.

Dark fruit on the nose. Smooth m, round, blood orange and dark cherry. Long, smooth finish.

Bursting with blackberry fruit, very light tanin, stays in the mouth like a Jolly Rancher, a happy candy wine.

Intensely aromatic, the redwood trees create a spicy, exotic earthiness. Great with cedar plank salmon.

Local wine bought and consumed in Cazadero when visiting. Drank with dinner of grilled salmon and veggies. Tight at first, tannic. Then opened up with earthy, even slightly smokey aromas. Finished next day with burger, still pretty good and tannin mostly gone.
