Been tracking this wine for a decade. It's just starting to fade a bit. Any positive character of age it has developed does not make up for the decline in depth. Attack is more subdued, mid palate more watery, finish shorter. Still a good wine, enjoyable, but starting down a hill from which it won't come back.

Really good. Satisfyingly sweet tobacco leaf on the mid-palate surrounded by a fresh acidity. Slight botrytis tinge. Very enjoyable.

Still freaking delicious and a screaming bargain at msrp, much less the single-digit closeout bin price I paid. The most interesting thing about this one I think is its botrytis aspect - Sauternes like in that aspect ( but clearly Muscat).

A student presented this in my wine course. Honey and nut nose. Rich mouth feel. Could use a bit more acidity on the finish, but pretty decent.

Sweet, light and airy. Enjoyed very much. Not your typical hyperviscous overly sweet dessert wine, but very much appreciated for what it was.

Russk The 2008 Lacks the slightly cloying aspect of the 2006 (92-). This 2008 has really nice aromatics and balance. Incredible QPR. I am stocking up.

At Portugalia. Tasted alongside the 2004, which was completely different. This was pale yellow, with a lovely floral/orange Muscat aroma, light and fresh on the palate. Liked it a lot, and based on the 2004 I would opt to drink it young.

Tasted over three days. Yellow gold. A collaboration between Jorge Ordonez and Alois Kracher. 100% Moscatel. Not effervescent like Moscato d'Asti and comes in at 13% alc rather than 5-7%. Clean, floral and tangelo nose, but a deep honeyed scent lingers about as well. Medium palate weight with apricots and oranges drenched in honey. High acidity and some nutty components appear on the long, lingering finish. This is a really nice bottle. I'm anxious to try some of their other …

A very refreshing desert white (100% Moscatel). Not cloying at all, with some white fruit notes. Great to finish off a hearty meal with.

As always, tremendous value, with bright white peaches, honey, and flowers with good acidity and complex minerality.

A great desert wine. We sipped by itself. Not too strong, very sweet.

on the nose, loads of ginger, lemon, spice. medium viscosity, with more spice, lemon, ginger flavors. not that sweet, very tasty, held back only by a lack of acidity. i kept wishing for that extra bite that acidity delivers, but it's not there. A real shame for an otherwise delicious wine.

A delicious wine a year ago started to go down. Now it falls in the category of "wishful acidity".

Nice tropical and melon palate, round mouth feel, and decent viscosity although I would have preferred something a little thicker. Some tartness on the finish. Overall, I very nice dessert wine for the price, although I prefer the Jorge Ordonez Victoria #2 for just $10 more.

Nose is great-acacia flowers, honey, apricot. As the wine aged since I had it last time it lost some of the acidity, which completely blows. Drink now.

On the nose peach citrus orange and lemon with a little fresh cut grass. Good sweetness and acid, this wine did not wow me compared to similar priced bottles like eos and king estates. Fresh with a good structure with a medium finish.

Medium body, good acidity to compensate sweetness. Excellent.
