Domaine des Marnes Blanches Côtes du Jura Reflet - Selection Parcellaire "en levrette"

Nice Jura chard. Lacking a bit of depth and complexity. More of an aperitif wine than for serious meal. Drink now

This bottle seems better balanced than the last - decent acidity nicely accentuating the nutty flavors and touch of oxidization. Last glass had with a well-aged Conté cheese - magic pairing. Based on this won't rush to open last bottle.

Interesting and pleasant but probably a bit past its peak. Opened up with air - and the nutty richness went well with the first Dungeness crab of the year.

Nutty, salty, orange peel plus pear. Jaded palate, indeed. I like it for being different and interesting, but wouldn’t make a point to seek it out.

Tangy, earthy, slight oxidation, good minerality; could easily be confused (by me) for dry Loire Chenin. It’s a little funky, but I was hoping for something a little funky with a soup of spinach, mushroom, chicken and lemongrass along with a quiche of bacon and gruyere. Off-beat and good for a little diversity.

Baked bananas (!) & citrus fruit on the nose, citrus and bracing salinity on the palate. Loved.

Light color, slightly golden. A nice style of chardonnary - very fresh, precise and well made. Got a little tired after being open for a few hours - slightly off bottle?

Interesting nose with some tropical notes. The palate was impressive with a lush and rich Chardonnay that lingers on the finish. Really good.
