Prior bottle was only 6 months ago, but this wine has improved and merits a slightly higher score. Nose continues to show cherry, spices, earth and mineral notes, but there is a bit of black cherry now to go along with the red. Still between light and medium bodied with red cherry upfront, but then a bit more depth through the middle than prior bottles showed. In addition to a bit more depth, the fruit notes were slightly more expressive. …

Prior bottle was 10 moths ago and my notes remained generally consistent. Red cherry, spices, earth and mineral notes on the nose. Close to medium bodied with red cherry upfront, adding spices, tart cherry and some lingering mineral qualities towards the back. Perhaps slightly more open and a bit more integrated than previously. Overall, this remains a fun little wine meant for near term consumption. It might not have the complexity or depth to improve long term, but what it …

Nice, lighter touch wine, friendly black berry, red fruit, cherry, bit of earth and mineral, spice, nice acidity and balance. At first its all about the fruit, but there is more to it, and that keeps this easy drinking wine interesting. Good with food or on its own.

Mostly just what RGCM said, perfect notes on a very nice expression, not serious but quite enjoyable before and with dinner, upped it a point as I thought it opened up over dinner and got a bit more depth to it. That said it is enjoyable for its freshness not weight. Very much a little sibling to the Vigne Vecchie, but stylistically a chip off the block seemed to me.

Red cherry, earth, light spices and mineral notes on the nose. Nearly medium bodied (12.5% ABV) with red cherry upfront with a little touch of brightness and liveliness. Mid-body showed as soft and open with good fruit expression, but not significant complexity or depth. Backside has tart red cherry, earth, spices and mineral notes. Overall, a fairly straight forward introduction to Etna wines that's balanced and quite drinkable, but doesn't really stand out in any significant was. Showing its best …

Pale ruby color. A very sappy and quaffable wine with a lot of charm and complexity to remain interesting throughout the whole bottle. A lot of fresh and dried red fruit, dry soil, Mediterranean herbs, red florals and a balsamic lift from a touch VA. Medium bodied with a high and refreshing acidity and almost non-existent tannins. Again lots of red fruit with soil and spice lurking in the background. A winner at the dinner table. Drinking great right now …

Medium body, med-high acidity, low tannins. Dry. Pale ruby. On the nose, ripe berries, stewed plums, violet, a hint of smoke and cola. Warm wet rocks. Palate - tart raspberry, sour cherry. Quite vegetal with dried thyme, cinnamon, spices. Undercurrent of minerality and leather. Delicious. Softened up very nicely when we went back for a second glass a few hours later.

We received this instead of Cala Cala this vintage, not sure what the difference is. Very tasty. Tastes volcanic. Red fruits, minerals like iron, a little earthy. Med+ acidity. With pizza it was unassuming and tasty. On its own it's a little wild and more upfront. Seriously good wine, and I am a big fan for under $20.

Pale ruby Aromas are predominantly savoury: earth, leather, spices, some faded dried cranberries and red fruits Medium tannins Light bodied This would pair well wish red sauced dishes and sausage Quite pleasant Probably best to drink soon since fruits are mostly faded

Naso intenso con sentori di frutta, rose, cuoio e spezie. Ha personalità rimanendo fresco e dinamico con una buona acidità che lo rende "estivo" e adatto ad una beva spensierata.
